Numo Launcher — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 August 2026

Numo is a home-screen launcher for Android — your apps, your day, one calm home screen. It is built local-first: it works fully offline and never requires an account. This policy explains how Numo handles your information. The short version: Numo collects no data about you unless you choose to turn on cloud backup, and even then only your launcher setup leaves the device.

Data we collect

None, by default. Numo has no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no crash reporters. We do not profile you, and nothing about your usage is sent to us.

Data stored on your device

Everything Numo needs to do its job stays on your device, under your control:

Uninstalling Numo, or clearing its data in Android settings, removes all of this.

Optional cloud backup & sync

Numo offers an optional sign-in that backs up and syncs your launcher setup across devices. It is off unless you turn it on, and the launcher works completely without it.

The INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permissions exist only to support this optional backup. With no account signed in, Numo makes no network calls.

Permissions

Numo requests only what a launcher needs:

Children

Numo is a general-purpose launcher and is not directed specifically to children, but it contains no data collection or advertising and is safe for general use.

Security

Your data lives in Android's app sandbox on your device. Anything you choose to sync is transmitted over HTTPS and scoped to your own account by the database's row-level security.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above.
