Numo is a home-screen launcher for Android: a keypad you type into to open any app in two taps.
It is built to work entirely on your phone. The short version: Numo has no internet
permission, so nothing you do can leave your device.
Data we collect
None. Numo has no internet access, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, no crash
reporters, no accounts and no servers. We cannot see anything about you or how you use the app.
Data stored on your device
Everything Numo needs to do its job stays in its private app storage on your phone, and is removed when you uninstall Numo:
Your launcher setup — which apps, folders and widgets sit where, and your preferences (theme, icon pack, grid, gestures).
Usage records — how often and when you open each app from Numo, and which app you picked for which keys. Used only to rank search results and suggestions.
Your installed-app list — read through Android's launcher API so Numo can show and search your apps.
Optional features and the permissions they use
Each of these is off by default, asked for only when you turn the feature on, and can be revoked in Android Settings at any time — the feature then simply turns off.
Search contacts (Read contacts) — lets you find a contact from the search keypad and call or message them. Names and numbers are read from the system Contacts app when you search; nothing is copied elsewhere.
Direct calling (Make phone calls) — asked the first time you call a contact from search, so the call starts immediately. If you decline, Numo opens the dialer with the number filled in instead.
Notification dots (Notification access) — shows a dot on apps that currently have a notification. Numo receives only the app's package name; it never reads a notification's content.
Double-tap to lock (Accessibility service) — Android only lets an accessibility service lock the screen while keeping fingerprint unlock. Numo's service performs that one action and nothing else; it does not read what is on your screen.
Expand status bar — so a gesture can open your notification shade, like any launcher.
Children
Numo is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone and contains no advertising.
Security
Your data lives in Android's app sandbox on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above.
